E3 2013: Sony Press Conference

 

Here’s a quick, live synopsis of the latest and biggest announcements from Ubisoft’s E3 2013 Press Conference.

 

  • A version of Arkham Orgins is coming to Vita. Flower and Dead Nation and Telltale Game’s The Walking Dead are also getting ported to Vita. The Walking Dead will also give access to the first episode of the second season of the game
  • Batman: Arkham Origins will come out on 10-25-2013
  • Grand Theft Auto 5 exclusive bundle will release for 299.99 USD
  • PlayStation 4 form factor finally revealed
  • New original programing plan for PSN on PS4 by Sony Pictures
  • Video Unlimited will allow access to 150,000 movies and T.V., and Music Unlimited will offer over 20 million songs
  • New IP for PS4 called The Order: 1886 was announced
  • Killzone Shadowfall has floating bot turrets and deployable shields and will release at launch, along with DriveClub
  • Infamous: Second Son will release Q1 of 2014
  • The Dark Sorcerer tech demo was teased with the old man graphic first introduced in Feb by Quantic Dream
  • Super Giant Games showed their latest game, Transitor, is headed to PS4 in 2014
  • Don’t Starve, Mercenary Kings, Secret Ponchos, Outlast, Oddworld: New and Tasty, are just a few of the indie games coming to Ps4 (and Vita)
  • Final Fantasy Versus XIII – a new trailer was shown – it is now Final Fantasy XV
  • Kingdom Hearts 3 was finally announced and will come to PS4
  • Final Fantasy 14 will come to PS4
  • Ship battle gameplay for Assassin’s Creed 4 was shown
  • Watch Dogs promises to allow players to play the game according to their moral style and appears to allow asynchronous co-op using a tablet
  • Elder Scrolls Online is coming to PS4 in the Spring of 2014 – exclusive beta coming to PS4
  • Mad Max is coming to PS4
  • PS4 and Sony won’t restrict used games from running on their system, and they don’t require your games to check in with their servers to authenticate games
  • PS+ memberships will carry over to PS4, and Driveclub will be free to PS+ members
  • A lengthy gameplay demonstration of Bungie’s Destiny was shown
  • Cloud Service will go live in 2014 for all Sony platforms by Gaikai
  • PS4 will cost 399.00 USD

    As it is now, Sony has my money. Microsoft didn’t help themselves at all today.
